SQUIRREL - Did you know that the Red Squirrel is an endangered species? It is being threatened by the Grey Squirrel who can eat anything and they are eating the things that the Red Squirrel likes, making it harder for the Red Squirrel to find food.

FLOWERS - There are many kinds of wild flowers at Earth Balance, why not come and see how many you can find.

PICNIC - Come to Earth Balance for the day and enjoy your lunch in the open air.

ENVIRONMENTAL - A guiding principle of Earth Balance. If we look after the planet it will look after us.

LAKE - At Earth Balance we have a beautiful man made lake.

SWANS - The Lake at Earth Balance attracts a family of swans, if you are lucky you might see them. Only the people who fish on the lake can get close to the swans, but they avoid them as they are not tame!

BIRDS - Would you like to find out how many varieties of birds there are on the Earth Balance site, bring your binoculars and try to count them? They live in the trees, hedges and fedges (willow hedges).

WINDMILL - The power harvested by the windmill at Earth Balance is to enhance the power produced by the other renewable energy systems.

TOTEM POLE - The totem pole is designed to represent the four elements:

Water - as you might expect blue has been used for this element and it is shown in the shape of a bowl
Air - the yellow triangle is used for this element
Earth - this is represented by the green circle
Fire - the red square represents this element.

CHICKENS - There are free range chickens living at Earth Balance, the eggs they produce can be bought from local farm shops, although you can't force them to lay so there are not hundreds!

OWL - I am sure there are owls living in the trees at Earth Balance, you could be luckier than me and be able to spot them.

FISHING - The man made lake is tended by a fishery business who stock the lake with fish to let you to fish the whole year round.
